R.W. BONEY DIES HERE, RESIDENT SINCE 1932
R.W. Boney, 66, prominent Las Cruces Resident, died at 3:30 o'clock this morning at his home. Death was due to heart trouble.
Mr. Boney had been seriously ill since suffering two heart attacks early this week.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Graham Mortuary.
A well know resident of Las Cruces, Mr. Boney had been a comptroller of New Mexico A&M for 14 years. He maintained an active interest in civil affairs throughout his residence here.
Born in Ruck Hill, South Carolina, Mr. Boney with a local produce firm in the East before coming West for his health.
He resided in Rocky Fort, Colorado for some time and was prominent there in real estate and insurance.
Surviving are his widow Angie, on son R.E. Boney prominent in business here, one sister, Mrs. S.E. Colvin of Greenville, S.C. and one brother S.E. Boney of Burlington, Vermont.
He was a member of the Elks Club
