Roscoe R. "Ross" Clemens, 90, a resident of Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, Lewistown, and formerly of Montgomery Avenue, Lewistown, died at 5:10 a.m. Monday, August 21, 1995, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born April 25, 1905, in Mifflintown, he was a son of the late William H. and Maria [Rowel Clemens.
His wife, Zella M. [Wagner] Clemens, died June 23, 1995.
Surviving are: children, Mrs. Harry [Evelyn] Myers, Lewistown, Marvin R. Clemens, Lewistown, Dr. Daryl J. Clemens, formerly of Palm Springs, CA, currently of Lewistown; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by ten brothers and six sisters.
He retired from the spinning department of the American Viscose Corp., Lewistown, in 1970, with 45 years of service.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Lewistown, and United Commercial Travelers Council 591.
Services were held Thursday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., Lewistown, with Rev. Reynold Ziegler officiating. Interment was in Black Oak Ridge Cernetery, McClure.
