Jean M. Barstow, age 51, of Grantsburg, passed away after a battle with cancer on November 20, 2005 at the Frederic Nursing Home.
Funeral services were November 23, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Falun with Pastor Kevin Miller officiating. Music was provided by Karen Miller and Milton Johnson. Casketbearers were Dave Barstow, Dennis Barstow, Steve Barstow, Randy Barstow, Larry Tretsven and Scott Strese. Honorary casketbearers were Charles Barstow, Greg Barstow, Joe Barstow, Erik Barstow and Todd Barstow. Interment was at Wood Lake Cemetery in Wood River Township.
Jean was born November 20, 1954 in Grantsburg to Charles and Aidajane Barstow. She attended first and second grade at the Wood Lake School, third through sixth grade at Nelson Elementary School and graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1972. She loved this area and lived here most of her life.
She is survived by her parents, Charles and Aidajane Barstow, Grantsburg; twin sister, Joan Strese, Grantsburg; brothers, David, St. Croix Falls; Dennis (Andrea), St. Croix Falls; Steve (Theresa), Dresser; and Randy (Susan), Vadnais Heights, MN; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jean was preceded in death by a baby sister, Carol.
