PEORIA - W . Franklin George , 85, of 2508 Sherman died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at his home.
Born Jan. 16, 1916, in Cuba to Alan and Elizabeth Whitworth George , he married Doris Cox on Jan. 16, 1937, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James (and Janice) of Peoria, and Paul (and Sherry) of Canton; two daughters, Sally (and Thomas) Malmberg of Brimfield, and Mary Ellen (and Austin) John of Columbia, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 48 years, last working as a planning processor in Mossville.
He was a member of Hanna City Presbyterian Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson-Segwick Funeral Home in Farmington. The Rev. Phillip Henry will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery, located near Hanna City.
