Wauwatosa - Passed peacefully on September 3, 2021 at the age of 91. John is reunited with his beloved wife, the late Shirley (nee Holzer). Devoted father of Mary, David (Karen), and Sarah. Dear grandfather of Katie (Mitch) Partovi, Lauren, Hannah, Hannah, Rachel (Jeff) Hiemer, and Megan. Great grandfather of Luna Partovi.

John graduated from the University of Michigan in 1953 with a BS degree in Engineering, and earned a MS from the University of Wisconsin in 1967. He worked for Allis Chalmers for 16 years and then, through a series of mergers and acquisitions, for Globe Union, Johnson Controls and North American Philips for 18 years. He retired in 1990.

John played in various community bands and a recorder ensemble in the Milwaukee area and in West Palm Beach, Florida. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
