Jennie Lou Porter, 81, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1953, died Saturday, September 5, 1998. She was a devoted wife and mother. In 1961, the First Baptist Church of Alameda was started in her home as a mission of Calvary Baptist Church.
All her life she was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack and Jim Starkey. She is survived by her husband, Hollis Porter of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter, Janice Bain and husband, Doyle of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Laura Hall of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and
nephews.
