LAST SAD RITES FOR ISAAC N. WHITTAKER

SPRINGVILLE--March 19,--Funeral services were held yesterday for Isaac N. Whittaker, who died at his ranch home at Lake Shore, March 12, and was brought here for burial. Springville being his home for several years.
The speakers at the services were Bishop O. R. Huntington, James E. Hall, Professor Boyle of the B.Y.U., Provo, and Bishop J. P. Youd of Lake Shore. The musical numbers were furnished by a quartet: "Jesus is Calling," "Abide With Me," and " I Need Thee Every Hour."
Isaac Nathanial Whittaker was the son of Isaac and Betsy Gallant Whittaker. He was born December 1, 1858, in the Sixteenth Ward of Salt Lake City. He married Mary Curle, September 23, 1879. She died in Springville December 27, 1902. To them were born five sons and three daughters. One daughter died in infancy. The children are Samuel C. of Springville, Mrs. W. W. Wiscomb of Roosevelt; Arch C. of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Morris Gray of Provo; Earl C. of Camp Lewis, who got a furlough to come to the funeral; Isaac C. and Lester C. of Lake Shore.
November 24, 1904, he married Catherine Fischer. To them were born one son and one daughter, Norman and Hermania. His second wife survives him. He leaves also three brothers and two sisters, David and Joseph of Salt Lake City, Zenos of Provo, Mrs. J. A. Reynolds of Springville, and Mrs. Frank Bailey of Salt Lake City.
Mr. Whittaker was know for his generosity and his cheerful disposition and was an unusually industrious and thrifty citizen. His health failed him about three years ago and gradually grew worse.
