Relatives have told me she was a sweet person. She married young, probably about 16. She lived a very sad life, the victum of spousal abuse. It is believed by relatives that my Grandfather Orbin contributed to her death. Her death certificate however says she died of tuberculosis. I know so little about her. The only story I have of her youth is when she was to keep a lookout for their dad to come back in the buggy so that she and her sister Emily wouldn't get caught playing the organ in the parlor. She worked in the fields along with her sisters and her father called her Joe. He gave boys names to all his daughters. She was the daughter of Augustus Cummins and Sarah Elizabeth "Baker" Cummins.

She was the mother of Fred, Thelma Loudon, and two children that died as infants, one of those being Gladly Elizabeth.
