RUSSELL — Harry John Bachman, 92, Russell, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006. Mr. Bachman was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Dorrance. He was a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; a daughter, Sandra Kopke; and a grandson. Survivors include a son, Alan of McPherson; a sister, Sadie Feil of Russell; a half brother, Peter Bachman of Alamo, Texas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Russell City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church and South Wind Hospice, in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, 610 N. Maple, Russell 67665.
