Herbert M. "Marty" Willard, died at Evanston Regional Hospital Jan. 8, 2006 at age 63.

"Marty" as his friends knew him, was born Dec. 22, 1942 in Natchez, Miss., the son of Herbert Martin and May Crutchfield. He married Ann C. Cater April 17, 1964 in Natchez, Miss.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the G.P.A. He enjoyed hunting, camping and going gold panning.

He is survived by his wife Ann of Evanston; his sons: Martin Dwayne (Cheri) Willard of Evanston, Jason Travis (Gail) Willard of Evanston and Thomas Lloyd (Kati) Willard of Vernal, Utah; daughter Amy Michelle (Bob) Young of Wanship, Utah; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, John Robert Willard of Natchez, Miss. and Joseph Harold Willard of Natchez, Miss.; his sisters, Virginia W. Partridge, Edie and Jonny Christian of Natchez, Miss. and Laura Lee Willard of Natchez, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; John David Willard and a sister Marie Willard Kremers.

Visitation will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 13, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at Aspen Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Nebeker officiating.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
