Daniel J. "Jack" Collins, 75, Somerset, passed on Feb. 17, 2011, at home. Born April 22, 1935 in Connellsville, he is the son of the late John and Frances (Meyers) Collins. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marleen (Show) Collins, daughter's Karla Reyes and husband Ray, Crestine, Calif.; Marla Dryke, Sugar Loaf, Calif.; Coleen Conn and husband Keith, Confluence and Brenda Zylla and husband Richard, Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Derke Troy, Jessica Schember, Ashley and Courtney Conn and Nova and Troy Zylla; five great-grandchildren and sister Carol Degelman, College Station, Texas. Jack was a retired employee of the Somerset Rual Electric Co-op with 34 years of service. Upon retirement, he became a licensed taxidermist. He love hunting and the outdoors. Jack was a member of the Berachah Baptist Church in Somerset. He dearly loved his wife, his daughters and the Lord. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. A service will be held at 11 a.m. with one hour visitation prior to service Wednesday at the Berachah Baptist Church, pastor Dale Lyzbycki officiating. Interment at Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Berachah Baptist Church at P.O. Box 135, Somerset, PA 15501.
