James "Slim" Martin, country musician, played with Jack Ritchie and his Texas Rhythm Rangers; Charlie Monroe; Lester Flatt; Clyde Moody; Molly O'Day, and the Bailey Brothers. The last music he played was in Elizabethton, TN, June 27-28, 1975. Charlie Monroe said, "He was one of the old greats and loved the old time music."
