WINDHAM: Virtue (Babe) Campbell, 46, of 31 Wood Road, South Windham, died Saturday July 11, 1981, in a local hospital.
She was born in Woodland, ME on May 31, 1935 the daughter of Heber and Essie Elsemore Byrnes. She attended Portland schools and worked for Herman Shoe Co. several years ago.
She was a member of the post 86 Gray and the Disabled American Veterans of Portland.
She was predeceased by a sister Donna Rose Byrnes in 1960.
Besides her parents of Scarborough, ME. She is survived by her husband Calvin; three sons, Ted Brassley Jr. of Germany, David Brassley of Sebago Lake, and Brian Campbell of Windham; a daughter Debra Brassley of Windham; a stepson, Danny Campbell of Windham; three stepdaughters Sandra Nelson and Arlene Fogg, both of Gorham, and Theresa Coreau of Windham; a sister Patricia Gee of Buxton; six brothers, Norman (Sonny), Donald, and Darrell Byrnes all of Westbrook, and Robert, James, and Thomas Byrnes all of Portland, and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday from the Dolby Funeral Chapel, South Windham. Interment will be in Forest City Cemetery South Portland, Maine On a later date Babe was transfered to South Buxton Cemetery at 1187 River Road, Buxton,Maine
