James Taggart, 83, died Sunday at the late home at Kilgore, following a brief illness. Deceased was the son of Arnold and Levine (Goff) Taggart and was born January 12, 1862 in Loudon Twp. He was united in marriage, December 31, 1886, to Elizabeth Ann Reigle, who died in December 1941.
Survivors include; one son, Henry Taggart, of the home, a stepson, Bert Reigle of Kilgore, two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Pfeiffer of New Rumley and Mrs. Essie Irwin of Scio and one brother, John Taggart. Services were held Tuesday from the residence with Rev. R. R. Rhodes officiating and burial was in Kilgore Cemetery with the Arbaugh parlors in charge.
