Robert Wright, died late yesterday afternoon of a complication of ailments. The news of his sudden death comes as a great shock for he had been well enough to be around the house for some time.
Mr. Wright was born in Geneseo, N.Y. in 1833. He came west as a lad of 14 years and went to Byron, where he lived for a number of years. Then he went to Middle Creek where he established himself on a farm. Industry and steadfastness characterized his every movement and won him a prominent place in any community in which he lived. From Middle Creek he came to Rockford about fifteen years ago and had been in apparent good health.
Mr. Wright is survived by four sons and two daughters. The sons, are John, William, Clarence and Charles, the former living in Rockford and the others on farms in this vicinity. Miss Mattie Wright, on of the daughters, resides at home and the other Mrs. E.L. Hench lives at Seward.
