In the book "Chronicles of Pitt County, Vol II." in article #616 submitted by a family member, daughter Doris Haddock Stokes, she named him Augusta "Gus" Haddock. For purposes of this memorial however, Augustus will be used since that is the name that appears in most documents found on ancestry.com as well as his obit which named hm Augustus. Doris also added a photo of him and spouse Lillie in this article which can be found on page 471 in the book mentioned above. In her article, Doris states that Augusta and Lillie had only five children. Many trees on ancestry named a 6th child, an infant that was born and died on 27 Jan 1927. No record can be found that confirms this.
