Born February 19, 1929-passed away February 13,2012 in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Beverly Hills, California, and resided in Pacific Palisades with his wife, Ann of 62 years. He was a loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

He had a great enthusiasm and passion for music and was recognized by his peers for his piano and accordion playing. He was one of the founders of the Friends of the Accordian (FOTA). He also built and competitively flew free-flight model airplanes. He love motorcycle riding and working in his wood shop. Early in his career he was an industrial pattern maker and since 1962 was an insurance salesman. He will be remembered for his creativity, sense of humor and love for music.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann Marie E'Elia; children, Louis F. D'Elia, IV, of Santa Monica; Victoria Shields of West Hills; and Linda D'Elia of Santa Monica; sons-in-law, Michel Salazar of Santa Monica, James Shields of West Hill and Roland Metz of New York; eight grandchildren, six nieces, five nephews, and his sister, Mary Ann Cudahy.
Services: Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Santa Monica; graveside services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica will follow.
