Scientist. He was a pioneer of photo-optical science. A professor at the Budapest and Vienna Technical University, his lens from the year 1840 with the speed of 1:3,4 was instrumental in the development of today's photo lenses. He also helped improve the telescope, microscope, headlights and spotlights.
