Funeral services were held Monday for Nels Olson Fiske, 89, who died at the farm home of his son, Ole Nelson, near Whalan Thursday afternoon.
Born in Norway Nov. 18 , 1865, he came to America in 1926 and had lived at the son's home since that time.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Ole; Olaf, St. Paul, and Arne, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 1:15 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home at Lanesboro and at 2 p.m. at the Elstad Lutheran Church, the Rev. I. R. Gronlid officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were six grandsons, Ordell, Rolf and Alvin Nelson, Myles Hoff, Wayne Swinger and Charles Stockton.
