Janice Ann was born a daughter of John Lee and Esther Oma (Rice) Sisco. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School and employed as a secretary at Gulf State Utilities. She married first, William Franklin Buhrman, Jun. 19 1959 in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church of Lake Charles, Louisiana. William was a lieutenant serving as a navigator on a B-47 jet bomber and stationed at Lake Charles Air Force Base. Rev. Donald McKinney officiated their ceremony. Two children were born to this union, one boy and one girl who survived their parents. Her husband preceded her in death. Capt. William Franklin Buhrman died in a jet crash on the Avon Park gunnery range in Florida, May of 1964. The widow married secondly, Robert Jones who also survived her.
