According to a Old Methodist cemetery transcription, Dora was aged 16y 8m 23 days when she died on May 30, 1886. Another Neis family group sheet found in the Fairfield Public Library (Fairfield, Iowa) gave her DOB as Dec. 7, 1870 and DOD of Aug. 30, 1885. Will use the DOD and aged information from the cemetery transcription for this memorial (which provides an estimated DOB of Sept. 7, 1869) pending any clarification and headstone inscription.

Buried beside a brother, Jesse Neis, (1881-1888)
