Lifelong Chandler resident Ellsworth Jack Bean died Tuesday in Oklahoma City. He was 85.

Mr. Bean was born February 4, 1914, in Wichita, Kansas, to Dell and Merty Boyd Bean.

He married Channie Armistead on April 16, 1954, in Chandler.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and then worked as a mechanic.

He was a member of the AME Rockspring Methodist Church in Chandler.

Survivors include two sisters, Thelma Bean and Alma Reese, both of Chandler and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife on January 23, 1979 and his parents, Dell and Merty Bean.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler with the Rev. Lee Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Clearview Cemetery.
