Martha Maude Allison was born on the 17th of August in 1900 in Leaf White County Georgia to Charles Thomas Allison and Leevona Videro Vickery. Charles and Leeveno had 12 children, 8 daughters and 4 sons. Martha was the 3rd oldest daughter.


Martha was raised in Leaf White County and there Martha meet Alvin Jasper Thompson. They later married in Cleveland the County Seat of White County on the 21st of August in 1916. At that time she was only 16 and Alvin was 21 years of age when they Married.


They continued to live in Cleveland for a short period on time before deciding to move to Gainsviile located in Hall County. 


It is not known if Martha was with child before moving to Gainsville or not. On the 27th of September 1917 Martha gave birth to their first child, a boy.


Later on while living in Gainsville Martha gave birth to their 2nd child another boy on the 23rd of May in 1920. But sadly their new infant son passed away on the 30rd of May in 1920. Their infant son only lived 7 days. However his death certificate shows that their infant son was still born.


By 1930 Alvin and Martha were living in the Cross Keys area of Brookhaven in Dekalb County Georgia. Then on the 25th of March in 1925 Martha gave birth to their 3rd son.


But sadly on the 1st of May in 1931 Alvin and Martha were told by doctors that she had a brain tumor. After a 6 month battle Martha passed away on the 13th day of November in 1931 at her home surrounded by her husband Alvin and her 3 sons.


Martha's arrangements were handled by a local funeral home. On the morning of the 15th of November the funeral party transported Martha to her former home in Leaf in White County from her home where Martha's services and burial would take place in the church cemetery. 


Alvin Jasper and Martha Maude Thompson were only married 15 Years 1 month 3 weeks and 2 days.
