Arnold J. Boers, Corporal, Army Air Corps, who graduated from Seattle's Garfield High School in 1936, was killed in action over Burma, January 18, 1945. Garfield High School yearbook, 1945.

His remains were returned from Kalaikunda, India, and interred at Golden Gate National Cemetery on 25 May 1948.

He is the son of Anna Henrica (Schoenmakers) Boers and Arnold Francis Boers, both of Holland. The family lived on 22nd Avenue in Seattle. In the 1930s, the census recorded the family as:
