Artist, writer. He graduated from the Faculty of St. Petersburg University, he studied at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts. He participated in the exhibition for the benefit of artists hospital in St. Petersburg. He worked as set designer in the theater of Literary and Artistic Society, and at the Chamber Theater in Odessa. In 1920 he emigrated, first to Romania and then Czechoslovakia. From 1923 he lived in Paris. Designed productions for the theater of Theodor Komissarzhevsky, and performed the scenery for the ballet "The Firebird" by I.F. Stravinsky using the sketches by N.S. Goncharova for the Diaghilev Ballet. In 1925 he participated in the exhibition of Russian artists in the café "La Rotonde", and the design of the hall Russian literary and artistic circle. Finished decorations and costumes for the film "Casanova" (1926) and "Scheherazade" (1928) by A. Volkov, "Money" (1927) and others participated in the salons of the Autumn, and the Independent Surindépendants, of the Paris exhibitions of Russian artists and sculptors, organized by the Committee "France and the USSR" (1945), the Union of Soviet Patriots (CSP) (1945-1947), Meudon saloon (1948), "Russian Artists in Paris School" (1961), "Russian Again" (1975). Held in Paris solo exhibitions in galleries F. Houston-Brawn (1964) and J. Shalom (1972). Published in the journals "Revival", "New Journal". In 1979 in Paris, published a book of his stories, "Crossroads."
