She was a homemaker and attended school in Saint Paul, Ark. She was a member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ and the Crafty Ladies Club of Bella Vista. She enjoyed cooking, playing softball, playing and coaching volleyball and singing.
She married to John Henry Hayes Jr. on June 29, 1979, at the New Home Church of Christ in Boston, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Johnson in 1989.
Survivors include her husband, John Henry Hayes Jr.; two sons and a daughter-inlaw, Cody John Hayes and Britney Hayes of Bella Vista, Ark., and Dakota James Hayes of the home; a daughter, Caitlin Mackenzie Hayes, of the home; her father and stepmother, Jean and Lorene Johnson of Huntsville, Ark.; two brothers, Larry Johnson and Jerry Johnson, both of Boston, Ark.; two sisters, Shirley Jackson of Aurora, Ark., and Marilyn Johnson of Eureka Springs, Ark.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Bella Vista Church of Christ with Randall Castleman.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the Boston (Ark.) Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
