Aiken, June 15. — Mrs. Rivie Davis Hankinson, widow of Capt. John N. Hankinson, for many years clerk of court of Aiken county died at her home near White Pond Aikrn county, about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a lingering illness. Mrs. Hankinson was about 80 years of age and was the daughter of the late Col. James L. Davis, formerly clerk of court of Barnwell county and a prominent figure in this section.
Mrs. Hankinson is survived by four sons, John N. Hankinson of White Pond, J. Davis Hankinson of Aiken, Perry and Paul Hankinson of White Pond; two sisters, Mrs. F. B. Glover of Vidalia, Ga., and Miss Julia Davis of Miltown, Ga.; a brother, Nathaniel Davis of Millen, Ga.; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon at the late residence with the interment in the Hankinson family burying ground at White Pond.
