Sylvan F. Spiegelberg, 81, of Marshfield, went home to be with the two loves of his life Feb. 10, 2008.
Sylvan Fred Spiegelberg was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Debuque, Iowa, the only child of Herbert H. and Rose (Schoolman) Spiegelberg.
On May 11, 1947, Sylvan was united in marriage to the former Joan Becher. Joan died after a valiant battle with leukemia in October 1981. On Jan. 2, 1993, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton, Sylvan was united in marriage to Helen M. Lucas. Helen died earlier this week.
His parents, a son, David, in 1970; and grandson, Matthew Axelsen in infancy, precede Sylvan in death.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel will officiate. Burial of ashes will be in West Spencer Cemetery.
