Mrs. Fronia Exer Skipper, age 86, of Newton passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 in Bonifay. Born December 24, 1929 in Dale County to the late William L. and Pearl Senn Dunn and she was of the Assembly of God faith. Fronia enjoyed playing dominos, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Alvin Skipper, Sr., her sons, Louis Alvin Skipper, Jr., and Don Calvin Skipper; and her son-in-law, Charles Poland. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Janice Poland; her sons, Melvin Earl Skipper and his wife, Lavern and Marvin Darl Skipper and his wife, Donna; her daughter-in-laws, Karen Skipper and Stacey Skipper; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 24, 2016 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Paula Bond officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM service time at the funeral home.
