Bartscht, passed away at his home on North Broadway Thursday morning, Dec. 11. He had been ill for eleven days suffering from pneumonia. Mr. Bartscht was 67 years old. He had lived in Okaw township where he was a farmer for many years. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon from the First Methodist Church in Shelbyville. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery." *Newspaper has name as Barscht. Death record is Bartscht.
