Clarice Ruth Reeves, 87, of Hannibal, died at 2:15 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 18, at the Apostolic Holiness Church in Hannibal. Pastor Gary Legg will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. The James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reeves was born February 14, 1925, in Fornfelt, MO to William Eldridge and Zola Blanche Montgomery Dotson.
She was married to Elto Reeves on April 5, 1945 in Ironton, MO. He preceded her in death April 6, 1991.
Survivors include 7 Children, Richard Reeves (Ellen Jean), Sandra Reeves, Shirley Wisdom (Junior), Terry Reeves (Bonnie), Sherry Jones, Roger Reeves (Peggy), Dennis Reeves, all of Hannibal, MO; 1 Brother, Jim Dotson, Hannibal, MO; 1 Brother in law, Woodrow Reeves (Bonnie), Hannibal, MO; 2 Sisters in law, Betty Elliott, Laura Gerard, ; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Jerry Dotson, and 1 sister, Linda Layfield.
Mrs. Reeves was a homemaker. She loved to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Clarice liked to attend yard sales and was also an avid gardener. She liked to work in her yard and care for her flowers, especially roses. Clarice was a talented painter that was devoted to reading her Bible and attending her church. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Apostolic Holiness Church of Hannibal, MO.
