James parents are FNU Smith and Margaret McWiluicks Smith. They were born in Scotland.

James William Smith and Nellie DeRyder married the 23rd of Jan 1853 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

They lived in Chicago, Illinois for awhile before moving to Henry, Marshall, Illinois then to Evans, ILL before moving to Slayton Twp, Minnesota.

James William "Angus" Smith, born 1854, (James and his wife are buried in Custer County, Nebraska, in Gates Cemetery);
Charles F. Smith, born 1855, (nothing else is known about him);
William "Will" Smith, born 1857, (buried in Slayton Cemetery Blk 21 Lot 3, only one buried there with a headstone, all others buried in this plot next to William have no markers, which includes his parents, James and Nellie, his siblings...Mary and her husband, and Cadet) (Information from C.Larson who took William's headstone picture in Blk 21 Lot 3);
Mary Smith Bishop, born 1861, (she is buried in Slayton Cemetery, Block 21 Lot 3, along side her husband, George W. Bishop);
Frank H. Smith, born 1866, never married, (Frank is buried Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton, Colorado);
LeeRoy Smith, born 1872, (buried along with his wife, Kate Ann in
Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Yamhill County, Oregon);
Cadet Smith, born 1874, never married, (buried in Slayton Cemetery, Block 21 Lot 3).

I know only of those mentioned above as being buried in Block 21 Lot 3 at Slayton Cemetery, Slayton, Minnesota no others that I am aware of.
