EDDIE L. BROWN

Eddie L. Brown was born March 4, 1872 at Roseville, Ohio. He was the son of Jacob T. and Martha J. Brown. His parents were among the early settlers of Pawnee County, coming to Pawnee County in Feb. 1885. He departed this life on May 3, 1950 at the Pawnee County hospital at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 29 days.

Eddie L. Brown was united in marriage June 28, 1904, to Effie Scott Brown who preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 1944. They had spent over 40 years in Pawnee County.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his daughter, Culah, of Rock Island, Ill., four brothers, Charles A., Herbert T., Foster R., and Beverly C., all of Pawnee City, and a number of nieces and nephews and friends.

Mr. Brown confessed his faith in Christ early in life.

Early in life he was engaged in farming, later becoming a traveling salesman for the J. B Owen Pottery Co., Zanesville, Ohio. After coming back to Pawnee County he farmed for a few years south of Pawnee City, later coming in to town and entering the insurance and real estate business until his retirement a few years ago.

Funeral services were conducted on May 5, by the Rev. Harry Heinecke at the Wherry Mortuary.
