Mr. Coats died Sunday, January 30, 1977 in the Neshoba County General Hospital after an extended illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Willie Coats of Philadelphia; three sons Ethel J. Coats, Homer Coats and John B. Coats, all of Philadelphia; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Ish of Lucerne Valley, Calif.; and Mrs. Fay Baysinger and Mrs. Margie Johnson, both of Philadelphia, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ola Coats of Philadelphia, Mrs. Evie Landrum of Sebastopol, and Mrs. Lucy Wilson of Forest.
Pallbearers were Herman Clark, Bert O'Berry, Kenny Fox, Rudolph Dunn, Billy Clark and Ronnie Davis.
