KINGSVILLE – Carol May Appleton, 69, formerly of Ashtabula and Dorset, died Friday, January 30, 2004 at Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born August 21, 1934 in Cleveland, the daughter of William A., Sr. and Olive E. Jaehn and had been an area resident most of her life.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at Kennametal and previously for Chardon Rubber. She also operated her own pet store on Lake Road called "The Bird Room", for over 10 years.
She loved birds and also enjoyed hunting and crafts.
Survivors include three children, William A. and Robert E. Appleton, both of Ashtabula and Theresa Whitmire of Virginia Beach, VA; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her twin brother, William Jaehn of Kirtland Hills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Appleton in 1973, and her parents.∼daughter of William A and Olive Jaehn
