Helen Gould, of Ipswich, retired teacher, at 82
Helen (Wyman) Gould of Ipswich, a retired teacher and homemaker, died early Thursday at Beverly Hospital after a long illness. She was 82.
Born in Medford, where she was a 1925 graduate of Medford High School, she went on to graduate from Colby College in Maine in 1928. While at Colby, she was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority.
She taught mathematics in New Jersey for two years, before her marriage in 1931 to Clarence Gould.
Mrs. Gould was a longtime Medford and later Ipswich resident.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Gould leaves three daughters, Dorothy G. Bosselman, Elizabeth Turner and Katherine Schaeffer; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Gould at 10 a.m. today in the Whittier Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich.
Burial will be in Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich.
