He was born in Northumberland County, a son of the late Geirmon and Alice Goodman Straub.
He retired from Harrisburg Dairies; and worked at Kocher's Store and Don's Food Rite.
He was a member of Trinity UM Church, Elizabethville.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ernest; two brothers; and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Leitzel Straub; a daughter, Barbara Novinger of Falling Waters, W.Va., a brother, Lee of Herndon, two sisters, Meda Miller and Marian Strohecker, both of Millersburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15 at noon at Trinity UM Church, Elizabethville. Visitation will be held from 11 to noon at the church.
Private inurnment will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
