She was born November 18, 1873 in the town of Sandy Creek, the daughter of the late Oscar Allen and Betsy Herring Allen. She was married to Hudson Farman and they continued to live in that same section. Mr. Farman died on April 4, 1936.
Mrs. Farman was a member of Sandy Creek Grange and of the White School Home Bureau. When she was younger she was a well known dressmaker.
Funeral services for Mrs. Farman will be held at the home at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Herb Harrison, pastor of the Sandy Creek Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Sandy Creek.
Her nearest surviving relatives are cousins, among whom are Raymond Herring of Sandy Creek and Claire Herring of Syracuse.
