Jens Holding was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Holding of the Santa Rita section. At the time of his death he was 27 years old. He had spent the greater part of his life in Lompoc and assisted his father in his extensive operations.
The remains were brought to Lompoc for interment in Evergreen cemetery, funeral services, under the auspices of Lompoc Lodge, No. 248, I.0.O.F., being held Thursday afternoon. C. M. Tucker was in charge of the service and conducted the impressive ceremonies of the order.
The members of the Odd Fellows Lodge and of the local tribe of Red Men, attended the funeral in a body. Numerous floral tributes attesting to the esteem in which the young man was held locally, accompanied the remains to their last resting place.
