Canadian statesman. A native of the city of Québec, he studied first at the “Pensionnat Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague” in Québec, then at the Minor Seminary of Québec and at Laval University at the Faculty of Medicine. As a new physician, he opened his practice in La Pocatière. Founder of the Young Chamber of Commerce of La Pocatière, he became its director, then its president . He was an active member of of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society, of the Reform Club, of the Lions Club and of the Knights of Colombus. He served also on the local school board. In 1961, he was elected Mayor of La Pocatière, a post he held until 1975. On November 14, 1962, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly as the Liberal representative for the Kamouraska district. He was defeated in 1966. He passed away in Québec.
