DELORA RASMUSSEN

DeLora A. Rasmussen, 78, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, of complications from kidney failure. She was born Dec. 14, 1933 in Loa, Utah, and was a resident of Nevada since 1960. DeLora was a retired cafeteria manager for the school district and worked in the library at her local LDS church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Neal C. Rasmussen; sons, Neal C. Rasmussen Jr. and Larry Kay Rasmussen; brother, Darr Allred; and sister, Manon Jacobs. She is survived by her loving family, including son, James Kirk Rasmussen; daughters, Dixie R. Taylor, Cheryle Rasmussen, and Rose Freeborn; grandchildren, Jeremiah Owens, JoNeale Rasmussen, Devan Ufert, William Ufert, and Mary Rasmussen; great-grandchildren, Elijah Neal Ufert, Dylan Spencer Ufert, and Cory James Hutchinson; and brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Lorraine Allred. Viewing will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. N. Viewing again will be 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18, with services following, both at the LDS Church, 1101 N. Pecos Road. Graveside dedication will follow at Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd. N. "The world has lost a beautiful woman and Heaven has gained a loving angel."
