On Feb. 6, 2012, Florence McKinley passed away at home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her Father, Horace Allen.

Florence was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America. She graduated from Oscoda High School in Oscoda, Mich., in 1974 and studied Architectural Drafting and Design at Cochise College with a special interest in designs that enhanced handicap accessibility. She was a member of the Vestry and the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Florence worked at the UPS Store in both Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca.

Her death followed an initial occurrence of cancer in 2009, and its rapid re-emergence as Hepatic Metastatic Disease, a very fast growing cancer, in January 2012.

Florence is survived by her husband of 36 years, Martin Edward McKinley; her son, Charles Joseph (Tiffany) McKinley; her daughter, Anna Louise (Doug) Stacy; ger grandsons, Anthony, Chance, Ethan, Timothy, TailorDane and Joseph, and her granddaughters Sasha, KatherinaAnn and Cecilia; as well as her brother-in-law, George McKinley, all of Sierra Vista. Florence also leaves behind her mother, Anna Allen; and sister, Patricia Weirauch both of Plattsmouth, Neb.

A Visitation will be held for Florence at Saint Stephens Episcopal Church on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at 10a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Graveside services will be at Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at 1p.m.

Arrangmements are entrusted to Jensen's Sierra Vista Mortuary.
