Inventor. Known as the "Father of the Automatic Gambling Industry", he invented the first automatic pay-out slot machine with three reels in 1905, naming it the "Liberty Bell." Historical Landmark #937, on the intersection of Battery, Market and Bush streets in San Francisco, was placed to honor his invention.
