Jack Kenneth Herndon -EATONTON, GA - Jack Kenneth Herndon, 82, of 250 SW Shelton, Drive, Eatonton, GA, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in a local hospital. Services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. A rosary will be held on Friday at 5:30P.M. in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 4406, Macon, GA 31208. -Mr. Herndon, son of the late James Adolphus Herndon and the late Nancy Caldwell Herndon, was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was predeceased by his daughter, Theresa Kwiecien. Mr. Herndon was retired from Plain Dealer Newspaper in Cleveland, Ohio. He was an avid fisherman and loved his dog "Earnhardt". -Survivors: Wife, Brenda Herndon of Eatonton; Stepchildren, Kevin Berrow and David Berrow, both of Cleveland, OH, Lee Merida of Newnan, GA and Patrisa Overstreet of Surrency, GA; Step-grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. -Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
