Born to Mary Ann Parker, a single pauper of the Union Workhouse of Sheffield. No father listed.
Siblings; Eliza (b. 1886) and Harry (b. 1895). He came to Canada in 1920 with his wife, Emma Goodman Parker and infant son, Harry. They settled in Kent County, Ontario where William's brother had been living since 1910, when he came over as a British home child through Dr. Barnardo's Homes. They went on to raise 5 boys and one girl. His marker states born 1892 but records prove that he sadly did not his own birth year... or birth month or birth day! Correct birth date is recorded here.
