George L. Lenard, 93, of Freehold Township, died Tuesday, March 9 at the The Manor Care Center, Freehold. He was a driver for South Shore Liquors, Chicago, for 33 years, retiring in 1978. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 705, Chicago, and the American Legion Post 220, East Side of Chicago. Born in Chicago, he lived most of his life there before moving to Freehold in August 2000.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine C., in 1995. Surviving are a son, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Interment will take place on Saturday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Chicago. Excerpt from Asbury Park Press, Neptune, New Jersey. 3/10/04.
