Ruth was my dear grandmother, and I called her Mama Ma from as far back as I can remember. She was married to Everett Crook Reynolds until his death in 1978. She had a big smile, loved cooking, gardening and having her family around her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas for many years. I miss her a lot.

At the time of her birth, the town of Martha was a part of Greer County, but it is now Jackson County. Her parents were Hugh Benjamin McWatters b. 1884 Baird, Callahan Co., Texas and Martha Alice Bonham McWatters born 1889 Grayson Co., Virginia.

Census Records:
1910 Census, Otter Creek Twp., Kiowa Co., OK, ED 180, sheet 10a, dated 29 April, lines 23-26, HH/Family 130/133 (listed as Ruth McWatters, age 1 yr. 6/12 mos.;

She is listed twice in 1930, both at home in Virginia, and in Oklahoma City where she worked in a restaurant (and where her husband-to-be was living).

1930 Census, Blue Springs Precinct, Smyth Co., VA, District 12, ED 87-12, sheet 5a, p. 219, dated 8 April, HH# 87/89 (listed as Ruth H. McWaters, age 21).
