He was my wonderful grandfather. Everett was named after his mother's middle name, Lela Everette Crook. We always called him Papa. Everett and his wife Ruth lived in Newton, Kansas and then owned their home at 3405 W. 4th Street in Ft. Worth, Texas. Everett worked as a railroad postal clerk for the United States Post Office, later the U.S. Postal Service. His hobbies included keeping handwritten records of movies and movie stars data, and watching travel shows. He was kind hearted, quiet and very sweet. I miss him very much.
