COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Funeral services for George R. Cook, 67,of Colorado Springs, were held in Colorado Springs. Mr. Cook, widower of Barbara Ann Cook, died Tuesday, October 8, in Colorado Springs. He was born June 5, 1929, in Waterbury, Conn., son of the late George and Ida (Evon) Cook. He lived in Colorado Springs since 1968. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1971, attaining the rank of sergeant He earned the Bronze Star, Air Medal and two Army Commendation Medals, among many others. He reared from the Army as a supply sergeant. He also worked at the Walter Drake catalog mail order firm in Colorado. He leaves a son, John Cook of Fountain, Colo.; a daughter, Gerlinde Donofrio of Waterbury, Conn.; a brother, Raymond Cook of Oakville, Conn.; two sisters, Roberta Cook Mahoney and Dorothy Capobianco, both of Waterbury; a stepson, Donald Reynolds of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
