A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel for Oma D. Woodward, 81, of Citrus Heights, CA. She died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael, CA. She was born April 30, 1923 in Lokeba, Oklahoma to Clarence and Ora Brokaw. She was one of eight children. In 1955, she and her husband, Reverend Burl Woodward moved to Gridley to pastor the United Pentecostal Church for approximately 35 years. She assisted her husband both in service at the church and in his construction business. She especially loved to be with her family and church friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and by one son, Ronald W. Woodward and all but one of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Marlene Woodward of San Mateo, CA; one son, Gerald Woodward of Sacramento and one brother, Carroll Brokaw of Visalia, CA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, January 19, 2005, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel, located at 116 D Street in Davis. Interment will be Friday, January 21, 2005, at 2 p.m. at
the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery. A virtual guestbook may be signed at www.davisfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Chapel in Davis."
